Supress Sound-Engineered Drywall Helps Make
Home a Keeper on A&E’s “Flip This House”
In the July 19 episode of A&E's "Flip This House," Supress
Sound-Engineered Drywall helps to create a home that the owners decide
they don't want to flip after all.
Entitled "A Flipper in Need" and featuring the renovation
of a San Antonio, TX, home owned by relatives of "Flip This House"
team Armando and Veronica Montelongo, the episode traces a transformation
from noisy and shabby to serene and chic. Occupied by young, inexperienced
homeowners, their five dogs and, on occasion, a rehearsing rock band,
the house requires extensive improvement to return it to sale-worthy
condition and its original value.
As part of the pre-sale renovation, Supress 5/8-inch Sound-Engineered
Drywall is used to upgrade the garage. Members of the rock band demonstrate
its ease of installation as they pitch in on the project, finishing
with an application of Supress Acoustical Sealant at panel edges and
around cut-outs for a durable, resilient seal. After completion of
the upgrade, the drummer's garage sound demonstration is undetectable
to the owners stationed on the other side of the wall, contributing
to their decision to buck "Flip This House" tradition and
keep the home for themselves. A new verdict on the home's value seals
the deal, as it jumps from the couple's original purchase price of
$97,000 to $125,000.
Supress Sound-Engineered Products provide high-performance soundproofing
for walls, floors and ceilings in commercial and residential structures.
